We believe that the universal Church is the body of Christ(1 Cor. 12:12, 13) span>, consisting of all those who are saved by Jesus Christ(Acts 2:47) in all places and at all times (Rom. 4/16).
We believe that the Church should be governed according to the biblical standard that our Lord Jesus established(Acts 6.3-4/ Eph. 4:11/ 1 Tim. 3:1-13/ Titus 1:5-9/ 1 Cor 12)is that there be apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and doctors; overseers and deacons, so that purity of doctrine has its course. Likewise, may vices be corrected and repressed, and may the poor and all others afflicted be helped in their necessities, and may assemblies be held in the name of the Lord Jesus, and may great and small be edified.
The true unity of the Church is in its one Head, Jesus Christ(Col. 1:18) ; it is the work of the Holy Spirit alone(Eph. 4:1-6). The highest purpose of the Church is to celebrate God and bring glory to Him through Jesus Christ(Eph. 1:5, 6)< /em>. Its mission is to make disciples through evangelism throughout the world until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:19,20/ Mark 16:15).
We believe that the universal Church finds its visible expression in local churches everywhere(1 Cor. 1:2 ).
We believe that the Holy Supper, instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ to commemorate and proclaim His atoning death on the cross, should be observed in local churches and under church control until He come back. We believe that the bread and wine represent the slain body and shed blood of our Savior, and that by participating in them, the Lord’s disciples testify that they are one body with Jesus Christ. We believe that, through this participation, they proclaim the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and also their firm assurance of the return in glory of their divine Savior and Master. We believe that it is essential to prepare, through prayer, confession of sins, reconciliation, before approaching the sacrament table with dignity and faith. (Mat. 26:26, 28/ Mark 14:22, 24/ Luke 22:14, 20/ Acts 2:42, 46/ Acts 20:7/ 1 Cor. 10:16 -17).
We teach baptism by immersion, the image of his death and resurrection with Jesus Christ(Math. 28/19; Act. 2 :41; 8:12).
We believe that the leadership of each local church is entrusted by the Lord to men whom He calls and qualifies with the spiritual gifts necessary for the exercise of their ministry ( Act, 14:23; Rom. 12:4-8; 1 Peter 4:11).
